Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

Do you face the New Year with fear and trepidation or do you embrace it with faith and hope? How would God have you to approach the New Year? The virtuous wife of Proverbs 31 does not fear the future, but rather laughs at it! What have we to fear anyway? Here are a few verses to ponder from Romans 8:

Vs.18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Vs.31 “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Vs.32 “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

Vs.37 “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Here are few happenings this month at Wooster Baptist, as we get started in this New Year: we will approve a budget, elect our committees and start planning and calendaring together. And we will soon begin our Sunday night Growth Groups, which exist to aide us in growing as disciples of Christ.

Let me encourage you to set a goal to read the Bible each day! If you were to read five chapters from the New Testament a week (that’s one NT chapter Monday through Friday), you’d read the New Testament through in one year. Bible reading coupled with a heart of obedience will do wonders in strengthening your faith! 2017 is filled with wonderful possibilities for growth and service! Let’s pursue them wholeheartedly!

We have big challenges, but we have an even bigger God.

Prayerfully,

Bro. Jason
